Constance Gordon
Constance is a PhD Candidate and Instructor of Rhetoric and Culture at the University of Colorado Boulder. Broadly she studies food and environmental justice, critical geographies of dispossession, urban development and ecologies, and community-based advocacy. Constance is currently working on a dissertation that analyzes rhetorical frames of development, community-based food justice, and anti-gentrification activism which is part of her broader work on environmental gentrification(s). She has led workshops and creative projects on food and farmworker justice, environmental literacies, and local food. She moved to Colorado five years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she worked with both environmental justice and labor movements. Both spaces inform her work.
