Dennis White

Dennis White has been involved with social justice and spiritual search since the 1960’s. He came to Boulder in 1973 from San Francisco Zen Center to be a student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Dennis ran the Naropa ChildCare Center in the mid-70/s, and has taught or mentored at Naropa University many times over the years, most recently in the Environmental Leadership program where he taught Inner Work for Environmental Leaders and the Ecopsychology program where he presented for the environmental organization, Radical Joy for Hard Times. He worked for ten years, until retirement in 2012, as a case manager at the Boulder Homeless Shelter. He also made regular trips to the state and federal prisons as a Buddhist meditation teacher and worked with Hospice over the years.Dennis has seven children ranging from 56 to 18 years old, all of whom have chosen some kind of service work for livelihood. Also four grandchildren, all of whom he sees often.
