Frank Wetenkamp
Living Craft
Co-Owner
Frank grew up in Massachusetts where his building career began. At age 12 he was building boardwalks with the Youth Conservation Corps. Frank started working as a carpenter’s assistant at age 14, and kept that job every summer through his sophomore year of college. Frank attended the University of New Hampshire where he studied Civil Engineering with a minor in Architectural studies. Upon graduation, Frank worked as a field engineer for a bridge and road construction company. He then moved to Vermont and, while looking for a better way to build, found Yestermorrow Design/Build School and took a six week Natural Building Intensive. With a certificate, friends, colleagues, and renewed passion for building, Frank moved to Boulder and trained under Ryan Chivers of Artesano Plasters. Upon Ryan’s decision to move, Frank started his own business to offer natural building as a solution to home construction needs. Frank is a guest instructor at both Yestermorrow Design-Build School and Community Rebuilds where he helps continue the tradition of passing down knowledge. Frank is a Co-Owner of Living Craft.
